Eden Hazard has pulled out of the Belgium squad to face Greece and Russia with a calf injury

Belgium boss Roberto Martinez expects Eden Hazard to miss around two weeks of action.

Hazard missed the win at Stoke City on Saturday with a calf problem and he has already pulled out of his country's upcoming games against Greece and Russian Federation.

However, after pulling out of the Belgium squad, Martinez confirmed to reporters that Hazard would miss up to a fortnight meaning he's a doubt for Chelsea's clash with Crystal Palace.

"Eden suffered a calf injury the day before the game against Stoke". We are going to follow the injury.

The winger missed Saturday's victory over Stoke City with a calf problem, but was included in Belgium's worldwide squad for the impending global break regardless. "It is a big problem to lose Hazard, it is obvious that we wanted to have him, but it will be a good test for us without him".

The 26-year-old forward sat out the 2-1 win at Stoke on Saturday and will now miss both the World Cup qualifier with Greece on Saturday and the friendly with Russian Federation on 28 March.

"I see enough players in our team who can take over his role".

Hazard's progress saw him net eight goals in his first 15 Premier League outings of the season before suffering a knock that kept him out of the December meeting against Sunderland, per the Guardian's Dominic Fifield.
