While Ben Affleck was in charge of producing, producing and playing in The Batman, the actor finally decided not to slip behind the camera to give himself thoroughly as an actor.
While talking to Pittsburg Today Live, Manganiello was asked about his role in the project, and all he could say was: "Umm. Maybe. We'll see." Simmons talked about the film as part of a larger interview with ScreenCrush, and said "We'll see what the future brings", before adding that "hopefully that'll be another comic-book character that I get to take two or three or four cracks at". Which, yeah, doesn't really ring of confidence.
Joe Manganiello shrugs and throws his hands up in the air, "Um".
While the script is allegedly being rewritten from the ground up, doing it to the point of writing Deathstroke out or reducing his role would be quite severe.
Just a couple of weeks ago saw Joe Manganiello offer that he was still involved with the Batman movie, but maybe with Matt Reeves coming on board to direct, everything could change. Once it became clear The Batman wouldn't move forward anytime soon, he already filled the time by signing onto Dwayne Johnson's Rampage, which will in fact film later this year.
