Girl, 15, missing from Lawndale found safe

A missing 15-year-old girl who had been seen in a "disgusting" Facebook Live video has been found and has been reunited with her mother. Officers in the 10th District found Dehavion Austin Tuesday morning, Chicago Police Department Chief Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a tweet.

The girl's mother, Stacey Elkins, approached police in the Lawndale neighborhood on Chicago's West Side late Monday afternoon with screen grabs taken from the video showing her daughter being sexually assaulted.

She said her daughter appears to be scared, and the men are acting abusive toward the teen.

Deahvion's mother Stacey Elkins says she distraught and anxious because it's been more than 24 hours since she last saw her daughter.

Johnson escorted her inside to make sure it was handled immediately. Police said they are trying to track down who is in the video and who might have posted it.

"I just want her home", Elkins said.

"What's even more disturbing, more than the fact that they did this, there were so many people that saw this and they didn't pick up the phone and dial 911", Johnson told WGN. Facebook has since removed the video.
