Nintendo Switch May Get Capcom's Monster Hunter; What We Know So Far

Despite a "Monster Hunter" game not being a launch title, the Nintendo Switch still managed to have a considerable release and it was huge thanks to "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild".

Capcom is one of the partners that supports Nintendo Switch and, apparently, will go beyond mere words.

A report from GamesIndustry Japan (summarized in English by NintendoEverything) following the Game Creators' Conference links it back to the RE Engine powering Resident Evil 7.

Monster Hunter is another game Capcom hinted to get released for the Nintendo Switch, the game is an extremely popular franchise among the Capcom games. There appears to be two main hurdles in the exercise: memory, alongside the Switch's two performance modes. Though the Switch is considerably less powerful than its home console rivals, it'd be pretty incredible if we could get games on there that were on par with Resident Evil 7's graphical capabilities. Therefore, it is not an easy task, but they would like to put in the effort to achieve it'.

The RE engine will be then amended and updated to run on a platform with a quantity of less RAM than the platforms of competition, also the engine will have to be optimized to avoid creating problems in the Dock and portable modes.
