But by the end of the year, Canada should have a much simpler launch process when they build their own spaceport.

A launch complex for promising Ukrainian carrier rocket is expected to be built in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. More than 10 other commercial spaceports have been proposed across the country.

The company says it chose the location in Guysborough Municipality after an assessment of 14 potential locations across North America. The spaceport's location on the east coast means flight paths are mostly over water, while the low population of the surrounding area means frequent launches won't be an inconvenience to large numbers of people.

Executive Director of MLS, John Iselle, noted that, within the framework of the project, the first launch of Cyclone-4M rocket was scheduled for 2020. Once the Canso facility is constructed, the Cyclone 4 rocket may finally be tested and launched.
