Carrie Fisher will not be in 'Star Wars: Episode IX'

What Luke Skywalker meant by this words will be revealed when "Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi" premieres on theaters on December 15.

Earlier in the week, a commercial leaked (that's since been removed) that teased "The Untold Soldier's Story" (the soldier was shown watching as a partially-rebuilt Death Star explodes), that you'll be able to "fight multiplayer battles... across all eras", and that if you pre-order, you'll get Star Wars: The Last Jedi Heroes.

"As attracted as I was to her, I thought I couldn't handle her as a girlfriend". Scott said that from the perspective of Rey, the line captures much of the disappointment and confusion she felt when she finally met the Skywalker and he does not seem to live up to her ideal of the Jedi that she has kept in her head over the years.

"I was the only one I'd never heard of", he quipped.

Fisher will not be recreated digitally for the movie, meaning Leia's final Star Wars appearance will be in The Last Jedi.

Fisher's Return of the Jedi co-star Warwick Davis also spoke lovingly of the actress briefly onstage.

"EA has assembled an incredible set of developers to create a Star Wars gaming experience unlike anything fans have ever experienced".

"She was at the point in her career where she could reap the benefits of being an elderly character actor". The story will fill the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, which is a span of about 30 years.

As they aged, they joked about their own mortality, with Hamill saying that Fisher promised to heckle his funeral if he died first.

But it's her onscreen legacy that will remain for decades to come, he said. "Star Wars Battlefront II will offer everything players loved about the last instalment, and adds new modes that we know the fans want, including an entirely new story developed in partnership with Lucasfilm". "You're going to love her".
