The alert affects 110,817 pounds of the frozen meals that contain the potentially contaminated brownie. In addition to chicken nuggets, the frozen meals affected include macaroni and cheese and a chocolate brownie.
Officials say the problem was discovered when Conagra Brands, Inc. received word from a supplier that an ingredient used in the brownie mix may be contaminated with salmonella.
The breaded chicken nugget, macaroni and cheese, and chocolate brownie meal tray produced on January 26, 2017. The ready meals were produced on 26 January 2017. The products have the Food and Safety and Inspection Service number "P-9" on the side of the box.
The product was shipped to retail locations nationwide.
To date, Conagra is unaware of any reports of adverse reactions in anyone who has eaten one of these meals.
