So which smartphone is the best? Since Xiaomi is not interested in publishing data yet for this new Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, we may still take a while to know precisely when the new smartphone will be launched. However, this variant has a glass back. The smartphone is available in blue and gold colour options.
But Xiaomi isn't far behind in the race.
The Xiaomi Mi6 is coming up with 6GB of RAM, 5.15-inch display as seen on the Mi 5, and with a Battery of 3350mAh. Well, it seems like the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus is on the way after all, but Xiaomi opted not to introduce it next to the regular Mi 6 variant for some reason. It is crafted like a watch with four-sided 3D curved glass and a stainless steel frame. This phone has dimensions of 145.17x 70.49×7.45 mm and weighs 168g and 182g (ceramic). A ceramic model, too, is offered at a premium. Outwardly, the Mi6 isn't an average looking device either. Now there's a Midnight Black Limited Edition variant in the market as well. However, Xiaomi hasn't confirmed about the water-resistant property adhering to IP68 certification.
The display on Mi 6 also incorporates technologies that allow the brightness level to start at a much lower level. For example, the new Xiaomi phone comes with the Snapdragon 835 processor, a top-end Qualcomm chip that is found inside the Galaxy S8.
The Mi6 also balances a light approach towards design with hardcore hardware specifications. The Snapdragon 835 processor is paired with 6GB of RAM. Two 12-megapixel snappers will be placed on the back of the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, and Android Nougat will come pre-installed on the device with the company's MIUI 8 OS. Mi 6 also comes with four-axis OIS so images and videos remain sharp, reducing the effect of handshake or motion. All of that powerful internals mean that the Mi 6 has been able to achieve an AnTuTu score of 184,292, thus making it second to the iPhone 7 in terms of performance benchmarking. The smartphone bears a 16-megapixel shooter on the front. You will find the speaker grille and the microphone grille at the bottom along with the USB Type-C port.
Additionally, all the smartphones feature fingerprint sensors. It does, however, lack a headphone jack. Xiaomi didn't reveal the Android version running on the Mi 6. The company's software, known as Oxygen OS, comes with lot of customisation options.
Xiaomi Mi 6 64 GB variant has been priced at CNY 2,499 ( Rs 23,500 approx) and 128GB at CNY 2,899 (Rs 27,000 approx). The ceramic edition costs 2,999 yuan (or approx Rs. 28,147). Like virtually all Xiaomi phones, the Mi 6 isn't slated to arrive in the states.
