Who would you target if De Gea leaves United?

Spanish worldwide De Gea has been linked with a move to Real Madrid once again this summer, who are reportedly willing to offer £60million for the Man Utd keeper.

The 24-year-old has a €100 million release clause in his contract with Atleti, making him the most expensive goalkeeper in the world, though his cost would largely be offset by the transfer fee received for De Gea as United will demand a significant sum for him.

There is a chance De Gea will leave for his native Spain, after six years in England and one aborted move to Real Madrid in 2015. If they're in for him I think he's the number one [target].

Within days of the move breaking down, De Gea committed his long term future to the club.

Sergio Romero has been great and I think he is a very good worldwide goalkeeper and he has to stay.

Mourinho though did confirm that the Spaniard would not play the last two games saying that he hopes "to play Joel against Crystal Palace" on Sunday before playing "Sergio in the final" against AFC Ajax next week - though that could all change if either of the two 'keepers get injured.

"And now with the confidence that Jose gives me, the confidence the players give me and the confidence I have, this is very important and I will try and do my best for for the team".

United manager Jose Mourinho insisted after Wednesday's 0-0 draw at Southampton that De Gea - who did not travel to St Mary's - will still be the club's goalkeeper when they begin their preseason preparations against LA Galaxy in California on July 15.

With Atletli, he has garnered experience at an even higher level and played in last year's UEFA Champions League final.
