He's one of the most-talked-about artists in hip-hop at the moment, with some loving the fresh take he's brought to the genre (and let's not forget that awesome album cover) and others absolutely fucking hating how he supposedly embodies everything that's "wrong" with hip-hop in 2017.

Lil Yachty's new album may be titled "Teenage Emotions", but the rapper has, at best, an elementary understanding of musical instruments. Blow... like... a cello. Quavo said Mr. Carter is deserving of the title and admitted that while in high school he didn't understand why everyone respected him so much as lyricist.

You know those stories where you come across an isolated fact and think, 'this can't be real', and then dig a little deeper and realise it IS real? Okay. And nobody ever said shit. I guess for a second, I thought a cello was a woodwind instrument and it is not. I don't know if you know what this is, but it ain't that.' I fucked up.

The error was picked up on by @BRANDONWARDELL and blew up on Twitter. I fucked up. I thought Squidward played the cello. He don't. That's a flute.

He plays the clarinet, Yachty.

Migos and Lil Yachty, who are arguably two of the most popular artists sat for an interview with NME and answered the age old question about the top five greatest rappers of all time, and what may come as a shock to some, all four men paid homage to two hip-hop greats and one who is well on his way.
