FA Cup Final: Arsenal Faces Squad Crisis for Saturday's Game Against Chelsea

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has conceded that his team face a "difficult task" to overcome Chelsea in the FA Cup final after losing key centre-back Laurent Koscielny to a domestic ban.

The Frenchman is the longest standing manager in the Premier League following Sir Alex Ferguson's departure back in 2014, and the Scottish former coach has insisted that Wenger's criticism's are short-sighted.

Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker may be called upon by manager Arsene Wenger, though he has made only one appearance all season - coming off the bench against Everton - following fitness issues. "The last worry I have is my person in a game like that".

Arsenal failed to reach the Champions League for the first time in 20 years this season, finishing fifth after failing to get the help they needed to squeeze into the top four on the final day.

"It will not be my last match because whatever happens I will stay in football".

Asked if the FA Cup will determine his decision, Wenger replied: "No".

Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista is set to miss Saturday's FA Cup final with Chelsea after it was reported he will be out for as much as eight weeks. I don't care about me, I care about us winning on Saturday. Wenger reported that the centre-half was still feeling sick and he had not trained. "We have to find solutions and hopefully I can find those solutions".

Chamberlain is enjoying what is easily his best season at the club, but his absence will not come as a blow, with Hector Bellerin flourishing in his new wing-back role in his absence.

Wenger was confident his players' preparations would not be disrupted by the extra security measures being implemented as a result of Monday's suicide bombing at a pop concert in Manchester which killed 22 people and injured 59.

"No, what I want is to win the next game", he said. I have until Saturday to decide [about a formation change]. Different situation. We'll see if he's fit to start the game.
