Golden State looked at Reyes as sort of a good luck charm, as the team only lost two games after Thompson signed his toaster.

If you're superstitious, or even just a little stitious, then you'll be happy to hear Warriors guard Klay Thompson invited the fan who asked him to sign his toaster to the festivities. All because of a toaster.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Reyes' toaster dates back to 2013, when he received it as a Christmas gift.

Though the Warriors weren't exactly floundering prior to the toaster signing, the team took off from there, with their post-toast record becoming one of the funniest subplots of the National Basketball Association season and a constant topic on fan boards like r/NBA.

Next was Thompson, and the rest is history.

The Warriors lost just two games since Reyes' tweet went viral as Golden State defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games to win their second National Basketball Association title in three years.

Reyes recalls the hilarious exchange with Thompson.

We can all admit it now....the Warriors toaster is made of magic. "He said it was the first time he's signed a toaster so I feel special knowing that I'm the first person who's had a toaster signed by Klay Thompson".
