Nearly 12 lakh students appeared in the NEET 2017

The CBSE NEET Results 2017 declaration notification was announced on the official results portal of Government of India. Above 12 lakh students seeking admission have applied and appeared for the NEET exam.

More than 11 lakh students are eagerly waiting for the results and it is likely to be declared today.

The exams, conducted in 10 languages at 1921 Exam Centres in 103 cities, were held for UG admissions to 95,000 seats - 65,000 MBBS and 25,000 BDS, in all Government Medical Colleges, Private Medical Colleges and Deemed Universities across the country.

Two petitions were filed in the Madras and Gujarat High Courts demanding cancellation of NEET 2017 as medical aspirants alleged that the questions for English and regional languages were of varying difficulty. The result were originally scheduled to release on June 8.

Apart from setting aside the Madras HC order, the Apex Court Monday also directed other high courts to stay away from entertaining any petition on the NEET 2017.
