David Dimbleby kicks heckler off Question Time

David Dimbleby

BBCThe veteran presenter eventually decided enough was enough

One person tweeted: "A bloke getting kicked out of the Question Time audience has got to be the highlight of my day".

The presenter eventually made a decision to stop the man, telling him he "ought to leave" after he continued shouting "tax the rich" over panellists.

The fraught audience member said: "It's somewhat unedifying to see all of these politicians and one non-politician who represents the one per cent".

"Listen, I think you ought to leave, you know", the presenter demanded, which he did much to the audience's satisfaction - and social media.

'Jeremy Corbyn has proven that anti-austerity policies are popular - the Tories and the Blairites lost that election'.

The audience member, who appeared to be Labour supporter, kept heckling the panel, telling them that the "Conservatives had lost the election".

The Corbyn supporter, dressed in a brightly coloured shirt, was removed after shouting over Justice Secretary David Lidington.

Even as pro-Remain campaigner Gina Miller moved on to Theresa May's hung parliament, the man shouted: "She's a zombie Prime Minister!" You're one person from an audience of 150.

Without hesitation, the audience member - named locally as Steve German, stands up and walks off to applause and cheering from the crowd. "He's speaking, let him speak".

Lidlington attempted to respond but was repeatedly interrupted, leading Dimbleby to issue a warning to the man.

He polled 118 votes in Taunton Deane at the 2015 election.
