This isn't the first time the singer and mother of two has dealt with comments about her weight. "And still f***ing awesome".
"I was the biggest girl on ["American Idol"], too". "People are like, 'I'm so sorry that lady in London was so mean to you.' And I'm like, 'Are you serious?' Like, get in line!" "I wasn't big, but people would call me big", the singer recalled.
While criticism over her weight doesn't affect her that much, Clarkson admitted that her feelings get hurt when it's others who feel bad about themselves.
"I love how people think that's new - like, 'Welcome to the past 13 years, '" she said. "[But I'm like], you just are who you are". In a tweet, the American Idol victor wrote, "Thank [you to] every person in service [for] protecting all of us and cheers to every person who fought for us to experience freedom [and] independence".
Had a lovely day w/family & I know I was able 2 have it because of the strength&courage of the men&women who have&are protecting us! "Whatever size, and it doesn't mean that we're gonna be that forever", she said.
Clarkson, who has made it clear in the past she doesn't care what people think about her weight, responded with her usually spunk. That's the thing. Sometimes we're more fit. "And more so now, since having a family - I don't seek out any other acceptance". And then sometimes I don't, and I'm like ... "I'd rather have wine", added Clarkson.
