Here's When You Can Play Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Master Trials DLC

Speedrunners, on the other hand, have already completed these trials in just over one hour-and the best speedrunners are targeting to beat everything in just under an hour as time goes by. Though it does not include much in the way of new story content, "The Master Trials" does include the new "Trial of the Sword" challenge mode, the Master Mode difficulty level, new Armor and Masks, and a selection of new Side Quests. To make an understatement, the trial itself already appears quite hard as it stands, but made more unforgiving because the game strips players of their food, weapons, and other items before attempting the challenge.

Dot Esports has placed a spotlight on the current world record-holder for Trial of the Sword and that speedrunner extraordinaire is Canadian gamer Loloup. With it being the only showing at E3 past year, it blew everyone away how much the series had changed and became the phenomenal open adventure we all wanted. But I said it anyway. Thus, the game requires excellent inventory management skills, so the player at any given time always has the best tools at their disposal.

Master Trials and the second Breath of the Wild expansion, titled Champions' Ballad, cost $20 and are only available as part of the game's season pass. Champions' Ballad is set for release this fall.
