Two other weekend shootings were also under investigation Sunday.
Police are investigating three separate shootings on Saturday that left eight victims with non-fatal injuries, including a 6-year-old boy, officials said. The three victims were transported to University Hospital where they are listed in stable condition. Two women and a man were wounded and taken to a hospital, where one of the women remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Shortly before that, at 11:23 p.m., police were called to 7th Avenue and Stone Street, Ambrose said.
The shooting happened around 5:45 p.m.at Central Avenue and 3rd Street.
Around 1:21 a.m. Sunday, police were called to Mulberry and East Kinney streets where two women and a man were shot.
Baraka and Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose announced the reward late Saturday.
Police don't know what caused the shooting and authorities say they have little information on possible suspects.
