Canon EOS 6D Mark II launched in India, brings full-frame goodness to hobby shooters

The Canon EOS 6D Mark II is designed for enthusiast-level photographers thanks to its full-frame sensor and brand new 26.3-megapixel CMOS sensor. Canon EOS 6D Mark II comes with a price tag of Rs.1.32,995 and it is just the cost of the body.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Eddie Udagawa, Vice President of Consumer Imaging and Information Centre, Canon India said, "The EOS 6D Mark II is a versatile full frame camera that reflects the "Sense of Genius", striking a ideal balance between compact design and superior performance offering an excellent value to the photo enthusiasts and professionals".

As mentioned above the price depends on the type of lens of the camera. the body price is Rs.1.32,995.

Although to casual photographers the price may look a tad high, the EOS 6D Mark II is priced quite aggressively in India. Now, using this DSLR you can shoot up to 6.5 frames per second, which is a decent speed. This also seems to be a new image sensor, and although chances are that it may still not match the Sony sensors - used in Sony and Nikon DSLR cameras - in terms of pure image quality, difference should be much narrow with the other cameras compared to say the difference in image quality between the earlier 6D camera and the Nikon D750.

Now, the 6D Mark II can also capture full HD (1080p) video at 60 fps, which is a pretty decent but still people will miss the 4K video recording capability. The camera has an ISO range of ISO 100-40000 (expandable range 50- 102,400). Extended ISO is also available. And that is why full frame sensor is there on the camera. Additionally, the device has built in GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, Wi Fi support to share photos directly from the camera. Alongside 1080p video recording at 60FPS, the EOS 6D Mark II is also capable of shooting timelapse videos at 4K resolution. But in other areas, EOS 6D Mark II already looks like a victor, particularly because of its size and price.
