If you were attending Longitude Festival yesterday, chances are you probably had some queues to contend with.
Yesterday's headliners, the Weeknd, drew crowds for the last performance of the day on the main stage last night, while Skepta, Mac Miller and All Tvvins were among acts that entertained fans throughout the day.
"Delays had been anticipated and indeed well highlighted in advance by email to ticket purchasers, carried extensively by national/local media and via the promoter's own communication channels". Some had claimed they were crushed in surges at the entrance to the venue soon after gates opened at 1.30pm.
Met Eireann is warning festival goers to be prepared for warm muggy weather with the sunburn index expected to be high with temperatures set to reach around 24 degrees.
Like numerous gigs across Ireland this summer, a number of security measures have been put in place for this weekend's festival.
Ahead of the festival, organisers had said that large bags and backpacks would not be allowed into the festival. Bags smaller than A4 will be searched on entry, to avoid lengthy queues we strongly advise that you do not bring a bag.
