Wonder Woman's next adventure may be just over the horizon. But while there have been plenty of talks about sequel plans for Wonder Woman over the past several weeks since the film's release, Warner Bros. has yet to officially announce any plans for a Wonder Woman sequel, much to shock and dismay of both DC fans and industry insiders.

Wonder Woman has broken records for DC, women directors, and this summer's blockbuster offerings, and now the film has triumphed over a British wizard. If things don't go "as planned", it could be inferred that Jenkins hasn't yet signed the dotted line.

The 65-year-old actress, who portrayed the Amazonian warrior princess on TV in the 1970s, admits scheduling conflicts prevented her from making a cameo appearance alongside Gadot, but she's keen to work something out with Jenkins for the movie follow-up.

Today, it passes Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 as WB's third-highest grossing film domestically in the studio's history, with over $381 million. THR does not account for inflation but they do refer to Wonder Woman as the studio's "tentpole" four times.
