Diego Costa and Nemanja Matic both left off of Chelsea's preseason squad

Conte issues warning to star through text message

The loss of Diego Costa will be a huge blow to Antonio Conte and Chelsea

Costa and Matic are soon to be heading out of London.

Diego Costa is to be omitted from Chelsea's pre-season tour of Asia, nearly certainly signalling the end of his time at Chelsea.

It is ridiculous to think that Costa was the main reason Chelsea won the league last season, when so many others impressed throughout the campaign.

It is thought that the Belgium worldwide is considering the proposal from the Premier League champions, and it is up to Atletico manager Diego Simeone to convince him to snub the Blues.

It is claimed that Atletico Madrid's move to sign Vitolo has cast doubt over Carrasco's long-term future at the Spanish club, even though he'll be loaned to Las Palmas until January due to their transfer ban.

It doesn't seem as though Costa holds any grudges towards his head coach for that infamous text message earlier this summer, but it's now a question of when rather than if he returns to his beloved Atletico.

The pre-season tour, which goes to China and Singapore, does not include Nemanja Matic's name, which could possibly mean that manager Antonio Conte does not see the midfielder as a part of the squad for the upcoming season. Reports say Matic was close to signing with Manchester United where he'd reunite with former boss Jose Mourinho, but negotiations have ended.

Both strikers have a proven goal record with Morata showing his worth in both Italy's Serie A with Juventus and the La Liga for Real, as well as the UEFA Champions League.
