Tyga and CJ Wallace to Star in New Season of MTV's 'Scream'

Wallace have signed on to star in MTV's Scream show as series regulars.

Featuring all new characters and a different location, the rebooted season will center on an all-star football player named Deion Elliot whose past comes back to threaten his promising future.

Tyga will be playing the role of Jamal, the older step-brother to the leading role of Deion. Also on board: C.J. Wallace, aka the son of The Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans. Jamal is willing to hustle to do anything to make ends meet for his family. But when Jamal's ambitions don't line up with Deion's, it forces them to decide exactly how they fit into each other's lives.

As for C.J. Wallace, he'll assume the role of Amir, a "good kid whose strict parents expect him to keep clean during high school, stay away from girls and ultimately find his place within the family business". But when events make him the unexpected target of a killer, Amir finds himself in over his head and his world view challenged. But Amir wants to someday make music - a dream he has to hide.

In April, MTV announced the series' new direction and its new executive producers: actress/rapper/mogul Queen Latifah, plus Shakim Compere and Yaneley Arty, for Flavor Unit Entertainment. Brett Matthews (Vampire Diaries, Supernatural) has joined as showrunner and executive producer, while Harvey and Bob Weinstein will continue to serve as executive producers under the Dimension TV umbrella. Matthew Signer and Keith Levine are producers. Its six episodes will air during a special three-night event.
