With the blessing of the man himself, an Italian rocket design company have blasted Francesco Totti's iconic Roma shirt into space.

Totti played his last game for Roma in a 3-2 win over Genoa in the final game of the 2016/17 Serie A season.

The former Italy worldwide, who lifted the 2006 World Cup, won one Serie A title with Roma in 2001, and scored 307 goals in 786 appearances for the club, making his debut aged 16.

Under the new management of former Roma player Eusebio Di Francesco, the campaign kicks off with a trip north to Bergamo to face Atalanta on 20th August, before an early reunion with ex-coach Luciano Spalletti and his new Inter side a few days later at Stadio Olimpico.

In recognition of his stellar efforts on the pitch, the club launched a replica of his final Roma top out of the atmosphere.
