Pundit explains why Bale deal to United is still possible

Manchester United begin their bid to be genuine Premier League title contenders on Sunday when they face West Ham United knowing that an improvement in home form is vital.

The 35-year-old is still working his way back to fitness, and has been linked with the likes of AC Milan and MLS side the Los Angeles Galaxy, but the option to pen a new short-term deal with United could be explored.

"He's going to have to work even harder off the ball than on the ball".

This comes just one day after Mourinho also became resigned to the fact that the club won't be acquiring Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic as well.

Man United under-performed woefully in the Premier League last season, but Jose Mourinho will not allow such mediocrity for a second year running.

Ibrahimovic joined the Premier League giants as a free agent last summer managing 28 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions with the Red Devils.

"I only hope that after the game tomorrow if one of the players wants to celebrate and if one of the players wants to get his medal and enjoy the victory with his team-mates I expect the doping committee sends somebody with him and doesn't close him in a room".

United created a lot of chances against the teams in the bottom half of the table last season but were left frustrated on a number of occasions because of their profligate nature; Lukaku, though still raw in some aspects, will inject his new sign with the ruthlessness they sorely crave.

RIP Jose Mourinho's stated public interest in pursuing the acquisition of Gareth Bale: August 7, 2017- August 8, 2017. FIN.

"I'm not listening to anything".

An Old Trafford source said: "The club have looked at playing in the Far East next summer as part of a tournament".

It is understood he, and the rest of his backroom staff and conditioning coaches, were impressed with the campus.

If that's the case the transfer would be dead in the water. At the very least, the possibility is now real.

Would you like to see Ibrahimovic play for United again?

'I think they could score more goals than they did, we could score more goals than we did.
