Three people have been killed following an assault inside a Long Island home early Saturday, police said.
The victims, whose identities were not immediately available, were found in a residence on Perry Street, police said.
They found a chaotic scene with three women dead - they were identified as a 58-year-old, a 28-year-old and a third woman whose age was not known. Lt. Richard LeBrun of Nassau County Police, who held a news conference at the homicide scene shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday. The victims are a mother, her daughter, and a family friend. According to the parents of one of the victims, the incident unfolded at about 3 a.m., as two women were visiting a friend at the home. The other woman who was visiting was injured but managed to escape and hide in a neighboring backyard until help could arrive.
