Notre Dame and Wisconsin to renew rivalry in series

Wisconsin, Notre Dame football agree to series at Lambeau, Soldier Field

Wisconsin to face Notre Dame at Lambeau Field and Soldier Field

Notre Dame Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick, Wisconsin Athletic Director Barry Alvarez, Chicago Park District CEO Mike Kelly and Packers CEO Mark Murphy will attend Monday's press conference.

Reports say that the matchups will occur at Lambeau Field in 2020 and Soldier Field in 2021, though this has yet to be confirmed.

The two teams have not faced off since 1964.

Notre Dame last played at Soldier Field in 2012, defeating Miami in a Shamrock Series game during ND's undefeated regular season. The Irish have been affiliated with Under Armour for quite some time, while the Badgers are fresh off their first season with the brand after changing over from Adidas.

After the Tribune reported last month the sides were working to hammer out an agreement, Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst said, "I think it could be pretty cool".

It will be Wisconsin's first trip to Soldier Field since 2011, when the Badgers demolished Northern Illinois behind Russell Wilson and company.

A college football rivalry is about to get some new life with an expected announcement Monday that the University of Wisconsin and Notre Dame will face off in 2020 and 2021.
