Necrozma Will Darken Alola In Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon's New Story

Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon Trailer Reveals New Details And Highlights Some Differences

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon's story will focus on Necrozma and the new Z-Power Ring

In just a few months, eager Pokemon trainers will be able to pick up Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the revamped versions of Nintendo's latest entry in the main Pokemon series. Both games are coming out for the 3DS portable on November 17.

It has also been confirmed that a new form of Lycanroc will appear in the game's world, which is known as Dusk Form Lycanroc.

The above trailer also shows off a new evolved form for Rockruff.

Most interesting, however, are the changes that have been made to the region itself. That changed a little this morning with the release of a brand new Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon trailer, which opens with the promise of "a new adventure" in the Alola region. Unlike previous director's cut-style entries, which would introduce a new gem or color (as with Pokemon Crystal and Pokemon Emerald, for example) Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are adding new features and story but remaining separate games.

"In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, a new story unfolds featuring Necrozma alongside the Legendary duo [Solgaleo and Lunala]", a press release teases. According to the site, players will acquire a Z-Power Ring that allows them to unleash "even more varieties of Z-Moves" than they could in Sun/Moon.
