Amazon India said the job positions have been created to fulfillment centres, sortation centres, delivery stations and customer service sites. The positions are available in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, and many other cities across the country.
The e-commerce giant has 13 customer service sites across 12 cities and provides voice support for clients in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, English, and Kannada. The Amazon will join the thousands of associates at Amazon's 41 Fulfillment centers, 15 sortation centers and close to 150 delivery stations across the country to help pick and pack, ship and deliver customer orders.
With the start of the festive season, Amazon India expands its delivery network in different parts of India, including Leh-Ladakh, Lakshadweep along with East and North-East India. With this expansion, Amazon now has 350 "Service Partner nodes" across 320 cities, which is a 40% increase from the 250 that were set up for Diwali in 2016.
