HTC's first Android One phone leaks

HTC Ocean Life will be the first HTC smartphone to come under Android One platform

HTC to Release an Android One Edition of the Upcoming Mid-Range HTC Ocean Life

Google's Android One initiative recently returned with the Xiaomi Mi A1, and now it looks like another one is on the way. The device comes under Android One category and it will come with stock Android but a lite layer of HTC Sense UI 9.0_A1.

A couple of days ago, Evan Blass suggested that Motorola is preparing an Android One version of the Moto X4 smartphone, and a new report says that HTC is also joining the bandwagon with a rebranded Ocean Life smartphone aka HTC U11 Life.

IBT first reported about an HTC Ocean Life smartphone back in July, and information about the device at the time was also provided by LlabTooFeR. The phone will launch in the USA on T-Mobile, and the Indian launch of the smartphone is still a mystery. Many had provoked the rumor that the Google could possibly raise another Android One or similar concept to make mid-range Google smartphones in corporation with several mainstream players in the market. Speaking of which the phone should launch with a 5.2-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and Snapdragon 630 processor under the hood alongside 32GB of expandable storage.

We have already seen that the Xiaomi Mi A1 is just a stock android version of company's earlier Mi 5X smartphone, with a dual-camera setup on the rear. Another interesting thing with the HTC Ocean Life is its price. The Ocean Life will, however, include Sense 9.0 features over top of Android Oreo. The phone is expected to be announced in Q4 2017.
