Former Meru governor Peter Munya joined Nasa on September 4 but yesterday September 12 he made a u-turn and went back to support Uhuru Kenyatta.
But Raila claimed the PNU party member was under duress to join Jubilee ahead of the October 17 presidential election.
Munya met Uhuru Kenyatta at State House on Tuesday before the president went to address Jubilee lawmakers for the official opening of the 12th parliament. I have received a message from Mr Munya which tells me that he is under a lot of pressure and therefore he had no other choice. and I understand. and I have excused him.so I have no problem at all.
He added that former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto who was NASA's fifth principal was subjected to the same "blackmail" to support Jubilee after his loss in the August 8 polls.

Munya was flanked by top Nasa leaders including Raila Odinga, his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.
"My support in Meru county is still intact. But you need to know that I've got a lot of votes in Munya's backyard when he was supporting Uhuru.", said Raila Odinga.
The Opposition leader says he regrets losing Munya and Ruto to Jubilee and termed them "casualties of the struggle".
Raila also hit out at Uhuru for hosting various community leaders at State House, Nairobi in an effort to consolidate his support ahead of the repeat election.
