Recent disasters hurry World of Warcraft to release this year's charity pet

"For every Shadow fox adopted between now and December 31, 2017, 100% of the $10 Dollars adoption fee will be donated to both American Red Cross Disaster Relief and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Disaster Relief Fund".

Blizzard has created a $10 pet in World of Warcraft that players can adopt in order to contribute to a disaster relief fund, with donations helping those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Arma, flooding in South Asia and "countless other crises". The full cost of every pet sold between September 12th and December 31st 2017, will be split evenly between the two charities.

The donation fee will be split equally between the charities and is a great way to give a little to folks all over the world who have been caught up in the recent barrage of weather disasters.

For every Shadow fox adopted between now and December 31, 2017, 100% of the $10 Dollars adoption fee will be donated to both American Red Cross Disaster Relief and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Disaster Relief Fund. This purchase is not tax deductible. The Shadow Fox also has a colour-changing coat which can be either light tan or a purple colour. It's yours to keep.

Blizzard Creates $10 Pet in World of Warcraft to Support Disaster Relief

Shadow the Fox is available on the Battle.net shop now. "No papers to sign, and it's already had all its shots!" writes Blizzard.

You can, of course, donate to either of these organizations directly, but you won't get a pet WoW fox if you do.

You can use Shadow in pet battles, the fast and fun combat game in World of Warcraft that grants rewards and opens up daily quests. Will you be picking it up and helping to support the cause?
