The "Dancing with the Stars" judge and actor Robb Derringer have broken off their engagement, People magazine reported, citing a source.

Derringer proposed to Inaba in December 2016, and it seemed that the two were planning a destination wedding in Hawaii. Inaba revealed that she was planning on getting married in her home state during a co-hosting gig on "Live With Kelly & Ryan". And over the weekend, Carrie Ann hosted an event for figure skater and former "DWTS" contestant Kristi Yamaguchi in Hawaii, and not only did she have her mother by her side instead of the 50-year-old actor, she wasn't wearing her engagement ring.

Speculation of a split began on September 7 when Inaba posted a cryptic Instagram post of a quote that read, "Just when I think I've learned the way to live, life changes".

Inaba captioned the image with a praying hands emoji, as well as one of a broken heart.

After Derringer proposed to Inaba previous year at the spot of their first date, he told PEOPLE he knew Inaba was right for him.

"I knew after our first romantic date, that if she felt for me what I felt for her, then it was something that was going to be significant and life changing and lasting", Derringer told PEOPLE when announcing their engagement. "There was an ease and an authentic familiarity", she continued. "There was a strong sense of destiny that night, and I think I knew then, deep in my heart, that he and I were going to be together forever".
