The new Hellboy has finally risen. He's since collected up as many comics, statues, and autographed material related to movies and music that he can get his hands on. The announcement that David Harbour would play the titular character in the upcoming movie reboot of Hellboy was exactly that kind of project for me.
Harbour tweeted out another image of him on set as well.
The first-look of Harbour as Hellboy was shared with fans, and its caption of "Holy crap" was very appropriate.
The updated version also has larger horn stubs and longer hair, as well as a more natural red coloring than Pearlman's, which resembled a plastic shell than skin. The only question was, could Harbour take on a role that was made famous by Ron Pearlman in Guillermo del Toro's original in 2004 and "Hellboy II: The Golden Army" in 2008? Despite the new angle and new attire from the previous photo, this one still features Hellboy wearing a half-scowl on his face and commanding the attention of the room.
Take a look at both photos at the bottom of the article. It'll likely become a bustling source for all things Hellboy over the coming weeks and months, particularly once Neil Marshall's "dark" and "gruesome" reboot begins shooting across parts of England and Bulgaria from September onwards.
So, what do you think about Harbour's Hellboy?
