"The first Lamborghini Super Sports Utility Vehicle (SSUV) is unveiled on 4 December 2017 in its home of Sant' Agata Bolognese".
Lamborghini aren't backwards in coming forwards when it comes to a boast or three about their cars, and this tease video for the arrival, finally, of Lamborghini's second SUV - the Lamborghini Urus - is true to form. The SUV is expected to more than double Lamborghini's annual sales, and production of the SUV could hit 3,500 units a year by 2019.
The Urus will share the same architecture as the new Cayenne - which was revealed in Frankfurt - but will have more power from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 under its bonnet; it's previously speculated to be 485kW.
Of course, it's too early for Lamborghini to announce prices.
"The Lamborghini Urus redefines possibilities, creating a class of its own: unprecedented SUV performance, luxury and versatility, with the distinctive dynamic design DNA of a Lamborghini super sports auto", Lambo adds. The company has dubbed the Urus as the first super sport utility vehicle.
Another highlight of the Lamborghini Urus would be the 48V electric compressor for active anti-roll suspension. Based on the same MQB platform as the Bentley Bentayga and the Audi Q7, the Lamborghini Urus could be showcased at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show following its reveal this year.
