The court has adjourned the matter to September 14, and has extended the interim protection granted to the three trustees till Thursday.Describing the crime as a "brutal, diabolic, cold blooded, barbarous, demonic, unpardonable, unprovoked, hellish, cruel homicide", the application claimed that the school's attitude after the offense was "remorseless, spineless and senseless, and thus they (the trustees) should not be given bail."The application contends, "The collective conscience of the whole nation has been shaken and shattered because of this case". A seven-year-old child was found murdered in the school's Gurugram branch last week.

Sushil Tekriwal, an advocate, said he was opposing the anticipatory bail application filed by Ryan Pinto, CEO, Ryan International Group.

The Pintos, in their pleas, have said that the death of the child was very unfortunate, but the management can not be held culpable and that they themselves are victims of unfortunate circumstances. "Such an incident has taken place for the first time in the past four decades since the institution was set up".

Tekriwal said the application will be filed in the high court registry, following which Justice Gadkari posted the hearing of the anticipatory bail pleas of the Pintos later this afternoon. Kamath also asked the court to issue a notice to the Haryana Police, but the court refused to concede. Their application said the death has caused deep pain and grief not only to the parents and the family, but also to the trustees, management, staff, and students of the school.

Pradyuman's father has moved the Supreme Court for a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the case. On Monday, founding chairman Augustine Pinto (73) and his wife Grace Pinto (62), the managing director, had approached the HC seeking anticipatory bail apprehending arrest in the case.

Meanwhile, a two-member Haryana police team questioned the staffers at Ryan's Kandivli branch for nine hours on Tuesday. They approached the Samta Nagar police, who then made arrangements at the school to prevent any untoward situation. Police Commissioner Datta Padsalgikar said, "The Mumbai Police had issued guidelines to schools. We provided adequate number of policemen to accompany them to school".

Sept 8: Pradyumna Thakur, 7, was sexually abused and murdered in the toilet of the Gurugram Ryan International School toilet. The police have arrested two other persons attached to the school management under various charges of the Juvenile Justice Act.
