Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

While there's already a slew of cameos lined-up for the upcoming Star Wars sequel, including Tom Hardy, Prince William, Prince Harry and Gary Barlow, you can add another Hollywood actor to the list.

Touchstone Pictures " You know what I can tell you is that my - and we haven't said this yet, but I think this is OK to say - is that my very good friend, the actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who was in a movie I made called Looper, he does a cameo as a voice of an alien in the film", Johnson said. Johnson has also said over and over again, specifically to followers of his Twitter account, that The Last Jedi will not be a copy and rehash of Episode IV. What role would you like to see Gordon-Levitt have? "It's a very brief, little thing, but it's fun, and if you watch the movie maybe you'll be able to hear and pick out Joe's voice in the movie".

Much like The Empire Strikes Back in the Original Trilogy, we are in for that big time, epic reveal.

Last week, Johnson also spilled the beans on the identity of the titular last Jedi, and confirmed that it refers to Luke Skywalker.

It feels like ages since Lucasfilm gave us our first look at Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but with the movie's release getting closer and closer, we're getting new glimpses at some sweet promo material.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15, 3017.
