During the Nintendo Direct that took place earlier today, Nintendo announced that a demo for Square Enix' new RPG Project Octopath Traveler would be launching later today. Combining an art style known as "HD-2D" (what?), the game is being developed by the same team behind the Bravely Default series and looks to pick up where that game left off.
Project Octopath is all about player choice and seeing how different characters in the cast react to different situations. The latest trailer dishes out details on a few of the characters we are expected to see in the game and how their path actions will vary from others in the game. Nintendo revealed that a demo for the game arrives on the Eshop today, giving you the opportunity to get a feel for it yourself. The full game will have a simultaneous worldwide release date at some point in 2018.
