Lacazette not in same class as Chelsea striker Morata — Arsenal hero

Pedro had Chelsea's best chance and really should have also scored, timing his run perfectly off the back of the Arsenal defense to go 1-v-1 with Čech.

The strikers arrived in the Premier League as record transfers for their clubs in the summer as Morata joined Chelsea from Real Madrid for £65 million, while Lacazette moved from Lyon to Arsenal for £52 million.

The Gunners threatened again when Kolasinac's 20-yard drive tested Courtois, who parried to safety, but it was the hosts who should have been ahead when Pedro was played in on goal by a superb Fabregas throughball, only to send his shot too close to Cech.

"Cesar Azpilicueta was a bit annoyed because he had already started house-hunting for me".

Arsene Wenger's side have begun turning things around by beating both Bournemouth and Cologne but Merson thinks Arsenal will capitulate like they did against Liverpool if Chelsea score first.

"They will be confident and they have good players who look decent when they are winning".

Conte's decision to start with Cahill and Fàbregas was questionable before kick-off and not much in the first 45 has justified it. Chelsea need something different, something more, and certainly something better than what we saw towards the end of the half.

This has led to the Spaniard being directly involved in a goal or an assist, on average, every 55.6 minutes. It won't matter against Arsenal though.

But the second half was not producing the same attacking action as the first, resulting in Arsenal making their first change with 24 minutes remaining, Sanchez replacing Lacazette, with Chelsea promptly responding by introducing Hazard in place of Willian.

So stay tuned for all the latest from Stamford Bridge.
