Hot Off The Presser Is Oklahoma State Horned Frogs’ First True Test

TURPIN TIME: TCU receiver KaVontae Turpin went without a catch the first game of the season but has 12 the past two games combined. I personally just like Oklahoma's win over Ohio State better than two wins over Top 15 teams. Rudolph ranks among the nation's leaders in passing yardage and efficiency, and James Washington is near the top for yards receiving. Sixth-ranked Oklahoma State will host No. 16 TCU on Saturday in a game that could affect the national championship race.

At this point, the TCU offense looks like it's miles ahead of their defense. At no point, however, did the Horned Frogs call a Statue of Liberty followed by the Annexation of Puerto Rico. Hill is more of a pocket passer so he isn't a quality threat when flushed out of the pocket. "No one believes in you, you've just got to - like we say, just take it one game at a time and it will work itself out". Darius Anderson and Kyle Hicks have combined for nearly 400 yards and four scores. But he's careful, and he knows when a team wants to head inside to finish a two-hour practice.

Kenny Hill isn't shy about who to distribute the ball to. The former Texas A&M signal caller threw for 365 yards, totaling four touchdowns. Desmon White has been the top target with 9 receptions, 126 yards and 2 touchdowns. The most important factor is they keep their team balanced.

With three weeks in the books, we are starting to get an idea of who will be in the playoff conversation come November. Oklahoma State was gassed, which makes all the difference when you're playing from behind. "They're very athletic, tough and play well together".

Oklahoma State enters its Big 12 slate of the 2017 season with a home game against No. 16 TCU.

The matchup against Gary Patterson's Horned Frogs will be the biggest test that Oklahoma State has faced up to this point in the season.

Spearheading the charge is quarterback Mason Rudolph. That 49th carry was Anderson's 42-yard touchdown run. Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph has a chance to make a major impression in the Heisman race. Rudolph finished 23 of 32 for 497 yards before he was removed in the third quarter with Oklahoma State holding a commanding lead. J.D. King also can be deadly, carrying the ball for nearly 200 yards with a 6.2 yards per carry average. "No one believes in you". Last week, he held Courtland Sutton to only one catch for zero yards.

His partner in crime Marcell Ateman isn't far behind. That number has to improve against a Boilermaker squad that is 13-for-13 inside the red zone this season. These two are probably the best one-two punch at the wide out spot in the country. The Spartans threatened to pull within 21-14 until their third and costliest turnover of the first half, an L.J. Once again, they played well in their victory on the road at Pittsburgh. Howard's went for 19 yards to give the Frogs a 56-29 lead in the fourth period.

Fox will televise the game and will alternate years with ESPN.

As stated above, this game has the makings of a barn burner.

TCU, on the other hand, pride themselves with winning on the other side of the ball. Although they stumbled last week, TCU is no sippin' tea. First, the betting public has pushed it to that after the experts originally put it at 64. This would tend to favor TCU - but not because it has the better defense. They throw the jump ball. But in TCU (4-0, 1-0), the Cowboys faced a team that played with passion and precision.

My suggestion is that these offenses are good but these defenses might be a little underrated for the new total of 71 to hit. They could easily be flipped, and I wouldn't be upset either. It better, if the team is going to beat Cal.

UCLA lost to Stanford on a touchdown with 24 seconds left past year, giving the Bruins their own bonus motivation.

And still, the Horned Frogs are a decided underdog.

The Under is 6-1 in the Horned Frogs last seven road games. The Irish have now won four of the last five in a series that dates back to 1897.

The Cowboys are 6-2 ATS in their last eight September games.
