Health updates over Jayalalithaa were all lies: Tamin Nadu Minister

Dindigul-C-Sreenivasan

We all lied about Amma's health says TN Forest Min

Srinivasan said he was now coming out with the truth pushed by the situation. "Sasikala would meet us in that room and we will return", he said, adding, in fact nobody was allowed into the floor where Jayalalithaa was given treatment. She told us, "I don't want to see anyone in this sick condition". He said that it is center's responsibility to ascertain the truth behind Jayalalithaa's death.

"We were afraid of Sasikala at that time and lied about Jayalalithaa's health condition". It is very common that sisters who fight inside the house will appear to be friendly outside.

Sreenivasan has apologised to people on behalf of all AIADMK leaders and ministers for lying about Jayalalithaa's condition when she was admitted to Apollo Hospital for treatment. "We were compelled to lies about Ms.Jayalalitha's health like many others and even I told that Amma (Ms JayalalithaA) was having idli and chutni just to make the people believe that she was doing fine".

Minister Sreenivasan had even claimed to have had a conversation with J Jayalalithaa at the hospital. After Ms Jayalalithaa's demise, uncertainty prevailed within the party and hence her close companion Sasikala was selected as the party's general secretary. "The Union Government should order a CBI probe to solve the issue", he added.

He claimed that Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao had met Jaya in person at her ward. Panneerselvam, whose rebel faction sought a CBI probe, has merged with Palanisami's ruling faction. The original plan was to sworn in Sasikala as Chief Minister and hectic arrangements were being made for her coronation when the Supreme Court upheld the Bangalore Special Court verdict sentencing Sasikala, her sister-in-law Elavarasi and nephew Sudhakaran for four years imprisonment in a disproportionate assets case filed against them and Jayalalithaa by senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy.

Chief Minister K Palaniswami had announced a probe by a retired high court judge into the death last month, conceding a key demand of the O Panneerselvam camp for merger with his faction.
