SC beat Louisiana Tech thanks to this incredible catch

GAMECOCKS GAMEDAY: Five keys to victory - Louisiana Tech

Skip Holtz returns to South Carolina with Louisiana Tech

USC Coach Will Muschamp confirmed after Saturday's 17-16 win over Louisiana Tech that Williams has a shoulder injury that will keep him on the sidelines for the remainder of this season.

Samuel finished last Saturday's loss to Kentucky with five catches for 122 yards and a touchdown for the Gamecocks.

Second-year University of SC head football coach Will Muschamp needed to win each one of this season's first four games in order for the Gamecock football program to take a solid step forward from last year's 6-7 mark. Facing a 13-0 deficit after three quarters, SC came to life with two touchdowns to take the lead 14-13 with 4:52 left.

Parker White heard the boos when he missed two field goals, heard the applause (the loudest of the day at the time) when he made his first PAT.

But Gamecocks quarterback Jake Bentley scrambled for 21 yards on third-and-10 and threw a 31-yard pass into three Bulldogs that Bryan Edwards somehow came up with 7 seconds to go.

Ty'Son Williams led the receivers with 13 catches for 95 yards and a score.

It was White's first make among his first five collegiate tries. Things got even worse for SC up front when redshirt senior guard Cory Helms went down with a knee injury, but Muschamp told reporters after the game Helms is listed as "day to day".

J'Mar Smith was 23-of-33 for 281 yards, a touchdown and an interception for Louisiana Tech.

Louisiana Tech: Holtz is now 0-8 coaching against Southeastern Conference teams.

South Carolina's offense was stagnant throughout. But last week Muschamp lost to Kentucky at home, 23-13.
