A New Yorker's Guide to College GameDay

ESPN's 'College GameDay' will visit Blacksburg for Virginia Tech-Clemson

There have been some great atmospheres for College GameDay through the years as ESPN has set up shop on campuses hosting so many huge games.

ESPN announced on Saturday night that College Gameday, the popular, weekly pre-game college football show is coming back to Blacksburg for the first time since 2007.

Was it better than having it on a college campus, though? Saturday will mark the sixth appearance of College GameDay in Blacksburg and the first since 2007.

ESPN's College GameDay has been on site for 10 Virginia Tech games since 1999, including last season's game vs. Tennessee at the Battle at Bristol on September 10. In an effort to bring a sense of normalcy back to a vulnerable community, GameDay and ESPN broadcast the first Tech football game after the April 16 tragedy on September 1, 2007 vs. Virginia Tech's game kicks off at 8 p.m. Tickets to the game are sold out.

Information about attending the show will be released later this week.
