Following investigations into the Allenview crash the ATSB will prepare a report, which is expected to take months to complete.

Two people are dead after a light plane crashed on a turf farm in the Scenic Rim, south of Brisbane.

Emergency service officers are rushing to the scene of a light plane crash in southeast Queensland.

"(The plane) took off from Archerfield, can't say where it was going, possibly a training flight".

"No one required transport", the QAS spokesperson said.

He said early reports suggest two people were on board but there were no confirmed injuries.

Photos from the scene show the broken plane lying on a large expanse of grass, with emergency vehicles and a tractor parked nearby.
